About the exhibition
A shared frame for twelve new visions
We are proud to host Frame and Focus at Alhosh, in collaboration with Tasweer. This group exhibition brings together photographic and time-based projects developed through a program of study, critique, mentorship, and experimentation.
Marking the close of the second edition of Frame and Focus, the exhibition presents the work of artists who developed their visual projects through hands-on training and direct guidance from professional photographers, with the participation of the VII Foundation, Qatar Preparatory School, and Qatar Museums.
The works on view span themes of belonging, memory, faith, heritage, migration, and family life. Through their lenses, the artists capture moments tied to worship and continuity, everyday domestic life, displacement and cultural resilience, and the imprint of people on landscape and place.
Together, these works speak to endurance and the human capacity to adapt through change, marking a step toward a sustainable photography ecosystem in Qatar, driven by a generation of artists equipped to tell their own stories through images.

About Alhosh
A home for contemporary art in Doha
Alhosh is a contemporary art space in Doha that has presented exhibitions, cultural programs, and artistic initiatives since 2008. Located in The Pearl, Porto Arabia Tower 1, we bring together local, regional, and international artists through exhibitions exploring contemporary visual culture, identity, memory, and social dialogue.
Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, and collaborative cultural projects, we support both emerging and established artists across painting, photography, installation, mixed media, and conceptual art.
